politician

i have listless eyes
i have two busted hands
and he's only seen me
as a slave at his commands

my hands work
for the man of your dreams
collapse's on the horizon
for the child of his greed

more broken promises
he's still standing strong
for every right of his
there've been five wrongs

he has his heart set on money
warfare and lies
he points his finger at me
and then runs and hides

if he showed respect for his neighbor
the decency to try
he wouldn't be so concerned
with his own demise

I gotta say I really like these lyrics, especially "for every right of his, there've been five wrongs"

Do you have a chorus for this???

I do like how you capture the perceptions of politicians and you pull off some nice lines. I was expecting a bit of a deeper level of connection between the narrator and the politician... perhaps being his wife or son or secret service agent... something like that could have made a very strong ending.

I like it. I would say keep expanding on it. There is a lot to say about politicians
