There's nothing special about it, but it plays my vinyl so I like it

So I picked up Define the Great Line by Underoath (only album I've really listened to by the band) at a used bookstore today for $40. My friends are telling me I struck gold. Anyone mind telling me how much it's worth? I only saw one on eBay and it was close to $90

Moose Blood Collection.:

Moving Home - 3rd press - Transparent Green /300 (Banquet Records exclusive)
Moving Home - 3rd press - Frosted Clear w/ Blue Haze /200
Moving Home - 3rd press - Ultra Clear w/ Blue and Green Splatter /1000

Departures/Moose Blood - Split - 2nd press - Opaque Yellow /350

I'll Keep You In Mind, From Time To Time - First Press - 300 Cloudy Clear / Powder Blue Haze (Banquet Records Colorway)
I'll Keep You In Mind, From Time To Time - Second Press - 500 Tri-Color Swirl (Orange / Blue / White)

Should have the Opaque Orange first press /500 coming next month, along with the Hot Topic exclusive press, and a couple of 1st press Moving Home copies. If you like Jimmy Eat World, Emo-ey Indie-ish music that references your favorite bands and coffee, Moose Blood are a winner.

Has anyone ever got into Variant collecting? I've recently started a Basement one as well! Gives me something to waste money on hahaha

Discogs is a bit better than eBay as you can see sold prices and the like. The median this record went for is £118.51, and the highest over £165, So yes, you have done well!

Most of the setting up is already done - the crucial stuff, anyway. Pro-Ject have a really good video to watch concerning setting your counterbalance. The cartridge is aligned in the factory by an engineer, so you shouldn't have to touch that.

Alrighty

Budget - I'm not sure really, my bro got his speakers for next to £200 I think, but I'm not super dedicated to getting the most expensive thing right now. I mean I reckon I won't replace my new player, so there's plenty of time to update the rest of the set kinda thing

Room size - average I guess, I'm not sure. It fits a full digital piano pretty well, if that helps

CE - zero. Didn't expect my gf to get me this so I'm sort of stuck with nothing for how haha. My parents had a decent looking preamp but my bro got it before me

Music - hmm, lots of alt rock, some electronic stuff, some 70s stuff, few classical records, some hiphop

Tonal pref - honestly I'm not sure, I'm not a big audiophile or anything, as long as they sound clear I'm happy

Speaker wise, I'd look at the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1. IMO, it is the best pound for pound speaker below £300 at £99. Alternatively, the Q Acoustics 2020i should be getting a price drop soon, as the 3000 series has just been released. They have a different presentation to the Wharfedales.

Amp wise, you'll need something with a phono stage, or get a separate phono stage. I wouldn't complicate things and grab one with an internal phono stage. Something like the Denon PMA520AE or Marantz PM5004. Don't discount eBay, you can find some great deals on older Arcam, Linn or Rotel integrated amplifiers.

I also cannot stress enough the importance of a decent set of speaker stands. Sound style Z2ii's should be a bare minimum. And speaker cables. You'll have the RCA interconnects in the box with the grounding cable, so you'll just need speaker cable. QED Ruby Anniversary should do nicely.
