pod floor plus

I have a chance to pick one of these up, do they sound good for metal? would it sound good thru studio monitors? what do you think of these units?

Which POD?

In general the XT, X3 and HD are pretty decent units for the money.

I use a POD Studio UX1 for recording and it sounds fine to me. Just don't use the built in tones. Make your own, then you'll be more satisfied.
