Theory is just...wow. I'm getting a bit over my head by trying to learn so much w/o formal educators

Imo, Putting a genre of your own music is hard as nails, But mostly media and what you think is to different things.

For example, my own band is a sleaze / somekind of blues influent rock but i think that in the future when we will start to play live that media and other factors will brand it something else.

Focus on the music and be cool instead.
