Well, I've just secured my third job as a career brewer. Hopefully there's a decent future in this one and I won't have to get annoyed at willfully ignorant management.

Just had Blue Moon for the first time. I thought I would hate it because... well, it's mainstream. I actually think it's a nice refreshing alternative to other popular beers. You can revoke my hipster card now.

Not your fathers rootbeer, heard tons of people love it, some hate it. But it sells out quick so I got some while I can. Also some bacon/maple/chili beer that was $8 for a single 11oz bottle but oh well, been while since I've had a weird beer.

edit/ holy shit this tastes just like rootbeer. There's a very, very faint almost vodka taste on the very end of it but you have to try hard to notice it.... I should have asked if they had any cases.

I had a pretty good sour last night.

This guy

But the best sour I've had lately is the Avery Raspberry Sour

Which apparently the local store doesn't carry anymore

I obviously didn't read the whole thread, so this may have been covered.

I've tried many beers, liquors, any beverage. I like drinking in general, not just alcohol. -shrugs-

Anyway, out of all the delicious local IPA's, beverages from around the world, my go-to favorite everyday beer (If I could afford it), is still Guinness Draught. Extra Stout is not bad, and a bit cheaper too.

That's really the only Diageo product that I really enjoy anymore. Jameson is crap. Harp and Smithwick's is average, Bushmill's is average.

It's the creaminess, smoothness of the nitrogen, just bitter enough. I'd love to get to Ireland some day to have a real one.

So is it shameful to enjoy a commercially huge product that may be snubbed by some? I mean, I don't care, I'll enjoy what I will, but just striking up conversation.

I've had other stouts, but Guinness is still my go-to, even if i take a break from it for awhile. And it's like $50 USD per case of 24 nitro cans. I think maybe it's just like how smokers will usually smoke any cigarette when they need to, but don't really get their fix except from 'their brand'.

Happy Sunday! -cheers-

Nah. My philosophy is that you should drink what you enjoy. Screw what others think. I don't mind the occasional Guinness.

It's probably one of the better boring beers I've had. Just not a whole lot going for it, but it is tasty.

I agree with this, except I hate Guinness. But I will probably never turn down a cold PBR and even buy it on occasion when I'm feeling cheap.
