writing music with lilypond

I have been really inspired by lilypond. and it's syntax for notation.
in one way it is ideal for use in forums as it coverts into an accurate score through the free software.

does anyone else use this program? can you see yourself using it as a way to express musical ideas.
i know guitar pro/tux guitar are both very popular here. along with the vast library of guitar tabs in gp5 file formats. but for a forum which seems to pride itself on technical accuracy do you find that guitar pro uses the wrong clef for guitar a bit of a worrying omen ?

It's intriguing, but I can't believe that the engraving quality is as high as Sibelius/Finale.
