Good finale you Chads, good finale.
So, one more season and its all done, i definitely thought the chase on Dexter would have truly started at this finale.

God ****ing damn that finale. I for some reason knew what was coming but when it happened... wow. By FAR the best season of this show since Trinity. Just man... I don't want to wait a year for this finale. So great.

There were so many scenes in this episode, particularly the arrest scene and the final scene, that would have been great and kind of heartbreaking if I gave even the slightest shit about these characters. But I don't, so they weren't.
It's a shame to see a pretty promising first third/half of a season turn to the same mediocre schlock as before. Still better than season 6 overall, though. |

Trying to avoid spoilers so I haven't looked at any of the posts before this one. I watched the first few episodes of this season and thought it was kind of stupid how they built up how Deb could NEVER find out Dexter's a serial killer, and then she finds out and within the course of, like, a single episode she's like "well you've killed like fifty people but I guess it's okay, we'll just live together so you stop killing people but other than that nothing's changed really lol"
Should I watch the rest of the season? Did it turn out to be a good one? |

I liked this season a lot when I think about it, I just wish the dialogue between Hannah and Dexter wasn't so disgusting. But it's finally different format than the rest (big serial killer comes, Dexter stalks them, kills them in the finale, love interest dies or leaves). It was really predictable, but done really well.

Other than Ray Stevenson being badass and Yvonne Strahovski being hot as hell i didn't care too much for this season. It was better than season 3 and 5 by far but i liked season 6 quite a bit more, seems im pretty alone in thinking that though.
Some things i particularly didn't like were... show

I loved this season, I didn't hate seasons 5 or 6 but 7 was undoubtedly a major step up in quality all around. I'd put in on the same level as season 4, or:
1 > 4/7 > 2 > 6 > 5/3. And yeah, Deb was brilliant this season. Apparently she improvised her reaction to shooting Laguerta, which is pretty impressive too.
