Is this neck usable for a project?

Hi guys, I have a neck and a whole load of stuff for a project I'm hoping to start. The neck has mis-drilled holes (Some filled with ends of cocktail sticks, blemishes, and the butt of the fretboard has a bump up because someone knocked it on the floor. It cost me quite a bit of money (I bought it 2 years ago when planning a different project that fell on its face) and initially was in great condition. Should I prize out the cocktail sticks, fill the holes with something and sand down the bump? Would it be worth it?
Cheers in advance

Yep, I would fill the holes with dowels and glue and sand the fret board flat at the end.

Ah, thanks What do you think I should do about the holes in the nut space? They'll still be visible if I paint it.

are you going to put a locking nut on it?

If not I would sugest getting some small wood dowels and glue them in place. you can then sand it down flush and paint it and you'll never know they were there.

No, it's a roller nut. It attaches like a locking nut. It's rosewood so I don't think dowels will cover it :/

If it attaches like a locking nut you will want the holes to mount it. maybe wait untill you actually have the nut so you can check it out

If you did do dowels, they would be covered up by the nut. thr rosewood is cut out so the nut fits below the actual fret board.
