Boss LS-2 help.

I just picked up a Boss LS 2. I have everything figured out except this. I run a noise gate in the effect loop of my head.
Send of my head to input of my gate.
Return of the head to output of my gate.

I want to run the pedal so that one of the effects loops on the pedal will bypass the gate in my amps effects loop, basically turning off the effects loop.

I've had a few ideas but I'm not completely sure how to set it up.

Is your fx loop not foot switchable?

What noise gate are you using?

Are you trying to run other effects in the same line as the gate?

If not, you might be able to run something with the 4 cable method.

Gimme a min and ill try to work something out.

the FX loop is foot switchable, but i bought the amp used and it didn't come with a footswitch. I needed the LS 2 anyway, so i was hoping there was a way to do this with it. I'm using an Aphex105 noise gate, there are no other effects running, just the gate.

What amp are you using? I would get a foot switch for it.

I don't think it can be done without the foot switch. If your aphex was a pedal I would just say run it on your board. But that ain't gonna work with rack stuff

I'm running a Bugera 6262 right now. I have 1 channel of the gate running in the effects loop. All i want to do is to be able to bypass the gate in the effects loop, i'm just not sure how i would hook it up with the pedal, if i could at all. I'm assuming it would be the same as if i was running a chain of pedal through my effects loop controlled by the LS 2. The Send of the head effect loop goes to the input of my gate, and the Return goes to the output of my gate, just like a pedal would. I'm just not sure where to put the loop from the LS2, if it can go anywhere.

If you are only using the LS2 to control the fx loop...

Put the gate in loop A and just patch loop B with a cable.

A send=> gate=> A return
Fx send=> input Output=> Fx return
B send=> patch cable=> B return

Edit: stupid formatting!
