Well... It's certainly a breakdown...
Uh...
I guess there's not really much else to say? Other than "it's a breakdown"?

No but it's... just a breakdown. There's nothing to really say about it beyond that.

I posted that video because it explains, perfectly, why a breakdown is nothing to get excited over.

That, and it's actually a really good way to make breakdowns.

hey, that break down was pretty cool. I think if you repeated 0:19-0:22 again, would make it sound cooler. At But that's just my opinion. Can you check out my demo?

I like the palm mute from 0:19-0:22 , i think he should repeat that part a couple more times as it ended to quickly

Seeing as how nobody has said anything remotely constructive, double track your guitars and pan each one left and right.

Your tone sounds a bit too metallic, are you recording DI because I would use a different plug in, don't think ive ever heard an amp sound that that.

Yo dude, I like the structure of the breakdown but you should really change your tone and play a little more tighter.

Otherwise it's good.

Cheers.

If you have a good live set up record mic'ed, DI can give good results but a POD X3 just doesn't do a descent job of it, if you want to record DI I would recommend getting a transparent pre-amp (high end Apogee, low end Behringer kinda deal) and using a plug-in in your DAW, Line 6 do something called Pod Farm if you want something familiar.

I think a high end Apogee is overkill if you're just going to be demoing metalcore breakdowns.
