it is that one, there's a yahoo box (like a photobucket file) link in the ad for it. it has a few more pics than the 3 in the auction.

it looks really nice, 4.2 kilos is still under 9.5 pounds so it's not a heavy les paul by most peoples standards.

if you can afford it i'd recommend that one over the ones on the bay atm.

wait, this isn't bad, says ebony board but it looks like it could be rosewood to me.
show

i'd hit the one on rinkya.

Yeah the rinkya one is better anyway. The ebay one doesnt ship to canada

3 days left on bidding a 2 days til payday. Lets see how this works

But yeah what would you estimate the total would be with shipping and shit? Probably close to a grand eh? Also, whats the deal if it gets damaged in transit? What's the deal with the deposit you have to do?

Also, seems like Jauce has way better rates. Why not get it through them?

I'm off to the Reading Festival today.

3 days of annoying teenagers! Yay!

Queens, Arctic Monkeys, Gogol Bordello, Pendulum, Andy C, Hives, Brody Dalle, Marmozets, Royal Blood, the Skints and....... Bill Baily!

Not an amazing lineup, but lots of good stuff still.

Reading is Fundamental!

I would love to see Royal Blood and The Hives, no question. I can't say I'm a full-on convert, but I'm enjoying the hell out of Arctic Monkeys' newest album, so I'd probably have a good time seeing them live right now.

And Bill Bailey IS funny.

The rest...well...

Still, that's good enough to have fun at a festival.

Bill and Queens would be my highlights from that list - probably inn that order

At last my IRT is back up and running. I had a pre-amp valve go bad and due to a combination of house move, other stuff and laziness I've just got round to fixing it. Revalved and roaring

Royal Blood are okay. I don't get the hype because the sound like every riff based rock band before them, they sound quite generic and the whole bass pitch shifting gimmick isn't that great. I guess it's just a load of kids who didn't hear Songs for the Deaf and haven't heard Black Dog yet.

But they're good for a mosh and the buzz should be mental.

i don't like having to load up my jauce account with money i can't access for a day or so if i don't win the auction. with rinkya, you get approved for $X amount and can bid up to that without having to actually transfer funds until you win an auction. i just perfer that.

we did a little comparison, with rinkya it's cheaper for pricier items, jauce is better for cheaper items.

my LS50 was 50,333 yen. i paid - $563 for the auction, auction fees and inland shipping, then $149 for fed ex shipping to chicago. so just over $700 to my door.

not sure about shipping to canada, most of my stuff has cost $120-150 for shipping. using EMS may be cheaper than FedEx but FedEx works better here, ymmv.

You pay the taxes when it arrives. So whatever your tax rate is where you are is what you're charged.

^ Thanks for the run down Greg. I think I'll try out rinkya then.
