Progressive Rock

Lets talk about the real bands, not those fact shredders. I'm talking about those bands that were great musically and technically, form and soul. I know a good number of bands but would like to find more. My favorites include

Yes
King Crimson
Caravan
Camel
Hatfield and the North
Emerson Lake and Palmer
Krautrock (too many bands to mention but an interesting genre)
Can
Gong
Barclay James Harvest
Gentle Giant
Focus
Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso
Van Der Graaf Generator
Gryphon
Gile Giles and Fripp
Le Orme
Premiata Forneria Marconi
Renaissance
Weather Report
Soft Machine
The Moody Blues

They are definitely prog rock and made some of the best albums of the genre like Dark Side of The Moon, they were really psychedelic in their earlier days though.

Rush, definitely. Both Geddy Lee and Neil Peart are considered to be some of, if not the best, bass player and percussionist, respectively.
