The HRD clean channel is STELLAR at taking pedals though. Most ODs/Distortions I've tried (screamers, OCD, Fulldrive, Riot, blues breaker clone, Line 6 distortions/ods, quite a few others) have sounded really good.

Of course it's totally subjective so I might've been there thinking they were awesome and you might've thought they sounded like ass.

i think stellar may be pushing it a little bit.

everybody has their own set of ears. everybody has their definition of good cleans. and maybe i was a bit harsh.

and also should mention that i don't own one, i usually just go to it to demo a guitar at GC or something, because they are always there and convenient. i have used it to try pedals with it most the time. i usually check a few different amps.

the supersonic 60 s are pretty neat though.

theres only one problem with the supersonic... the price, i only have about 800 to work with and i also have to spend about 2 on a mixer so i really only have about 6 i can use on an amp. ive played the supersonic and it was life changing. but it was also roughly 1.5 grand lol

Edit : I feel the need to let you all in on randys little secret lol

My gramps owned a music shop before he died. As a kid I worked in said shop, and was pretty much the only family member that cared about it. I now manage said shop and will own it when my grandmother gets old enough to collect social security. Being a small shop we have only a few dealerships and I want to buy from my shop to keep it alive lol

I'm pretty much limited to Peavey fender yamaha and a few off brands lol. And I'm also limited to new gear since we don't handle used, (Though I'm thinking about changing that)

why not start in the area of a vox ac15. if you want a bit more presence, get yourself a 1x12 cab and stack em.

jeez dude, that mixer is ancient. about time....

That is very interesting Randy.

My opinion.......? Sell used amps too.

Now days with websites like 'Allofcraigs' and the like you can look up the general 'Asking Price' for gear and that is usually pretty good gauge. Granted those are the Asking price but it should be enough to run a business off of both for providing Trade In values and selling gear.

The 'Look Up' link in my sig is an example of how that works.

Knowing you have to look at new amps for now I guess I'd go for the HRD or Peavey Classic 30/Delta Blues/Valveking.

Yeah I'm definitely liking the HRD rec in your situation. Also maybe the Peavey Classic 50. I haven't tried that one but it seems like a good fit, especially if you can get wholesale pricing (should if you practically own the shop lol).

And I have yet to hear any demos of the new Valveking amps, but I'm intrigued them. The do look great.
