Very nice show, to me, though kinda short-lived after the while

I just watched a documentary about John Milius, called Milius, and I'd recommend it to all of you Conan the Barbarian fans.

I didn't know anything about him before, except that he wrote Apocalypse now and Dirty Harry, and directed Conan the Barbarian and Red Dawn, but I am left with a great sense of admiration. He is exactly the sort of person who would start a Conan film with a Nietzshe quote.

It turns out he wrote the monologue for my favourite scene in Jaws, too, where Quint tells the story of how he was trapped in shark infested waters after his ship was torpedoed.

I love the profile pic you got there, Hoodoo

In any event, nice and interesting notes there on Conan the Barbarian and Jaws. Will definitely check it out as soon as can

He did a great commentary over the movie with Arnold on one of the DVD releases. Fun listen.

That movie is easily one of my all time favorites. No flaws. And what a soundtrack to boot! One of the only movie OSTs I spin on semi regular basis

i know a lot of y'all aint listen to da hippity hop, but anyone listen to Lil Ugly Mane's "Third Side of Tape"? Compilation of lots of dark industrial, harsh noise, acoustic stuff along with true hip hop of course. Brings back that gritty memphis Triple 6 Mafia underground stuff from the 90's

Local shop that's only open once a month, the guy who does it is selling off a lot of his collection since he's out of a regular job. I'll take a note of the rarer stuff next time if any of you are interested, I know there's an original of Blaze In Northern Sky going relatively cheap, a nice copy of From Beyond as well. Good distro/label gear as well: http://www.atwarwithfalsenoise.com/

Cool snag. Makes me think of all the stuff I just didn't buy and should have. Like the 2lp represses of Summoning's discography on vinyl back in 2013. Fuck me. Those would have been cool buys.

Ultimately they were the victim of scalping, so I refused to buy them anyways. Honestly, fuck scalpers. Shit people. Should be exiled from the metal community.

If you get a chance to see Marty Friedman and Holy Grail on tour right now, fucking do. Seriously one of the best shows I've ever been to. The sound was perfect (for Marty at least. Holy Grail is good and they're cool dudes, but the sound guy for them was shit), and meeting Marty and the his band after the show was amazing. I was completely star struck after seeing how damn good every single one of them is at their instruments. Not only was the show heavy as fuck in some parts, but Marty's note choice is impeccable. Another bonus was that he invited a guitar player on stage to duel him, and one of my buddies went up there, and Marty complimented him. Such an awesome night.
