ESP LTD setup?

short and sweet okay?
>be me
>have ESP LTD
>want to get better sound/playing
>using 12 gauge tuning Drop G#
> wat do?

I'm wanting to fix the minor string clacking, I can tell my guitar isn't setup right for this tuning and strings.

How do I do this? I also noticed my 12 gauge strings are almost to big for my bridge? Should even my 6th string sit perfectly in its saddle? Or is it supposed to just lay there, I can't slide it or anything but it's not fitted down into the V shaped notch. Also my 3rd string sits slightly higher than the rest since I went from 11's to 12's. They are earnie ball never slinky

Changing string gauge requires a guitar setup - if you don't know how to do it, then I suggest taking it to a guitar tech for such a drastic change from normal 9-10 gauge strings

it would require a setup that judging on your statement you are likely qualified to do. take it to a good tech and watch and ask questions. there is going to be truss rod adjustments for sure and literally everything else.

you may need a nut as well. the string needs to ride on the bottom of the notch or it won't stay in tune.
