It's in this spoiler if you're interested

Something about immersing you in the scene immediately iirc, at least compared to TKAM. I don't think it's AMAZING but I quite like it and would like to read the rest of the book just based on this. Well, also based on the fact that it's Harper Lee, but this definitely makes me more interested

i am really not interested in the "new" harper lee book, but i do feel like i should read to kill a mockingbird one day, if only as penance for the fact that i mostly just read the sparknotes on it when i was supposed to be reading it in high school, probably 'cuz at the time i was busy reading the dharma bums instead -- not my proudest moment.

I remember I learned the word 'sojourn' from a Keats poem in high school.
