Hm, never actually tried the carbon copy. Might have to see about grabbing one.

Need to sell on some of my shit first haha.

Tried out a 12 string today, absolutely loved it. Would kill for a nice 12 string electric.

I'm probably the only one here who's seen Frozen, but this had me in stitches. Also, if you haven't seen Frozen, go see Frozen.

I've never heard of using a dehydrator for drying paint, but I guess it makes sense. Most common method I've seen is baking. Obviously you can't use an oven you use for food, but I went out and bought a little toaster oven that would've been perfect, except I then gave up on painting myself and just used it for food Buying pre-powdercoated is easier for my needs.

im only using it for swirling. its a water based acrylic that im using.

i've used heat lamps and they seem to crack the paint because its too hot.

i feel logically a dehydrator would be ace and i know modelling guys use them.

Heat lamps might provide to much direct heat I would think. You'd have to be careful not to get them too close to the enclosure. I guess with the toaster you get even indirect heat. You can't really do temp control with the lamps either. If you do end up doing the dehydrator thing, let us know how it goes.

I use to do model planes/cars and some gaming related modeling, but never saw dehydrators mentioned. I'd be interested to see how well it works.

Yeah, that's a lot for something you're not sure about. I see Amazon has some under $75.

Quick search on some of my old modeling sites and I see some people mentioning they had good results with them. Nesco and Oster brands were mentioned, and I see them on Amazon. Most of them look round, which I guess would be fine for smaller number of enclosures, but I assume square ones could hold more.

the size was an issue. thats where the Biltong one i found seemed best. it is big enough for pedals.

I may want something in a couple of months. You got a particularly good overdrive that you think I'd like or should I just buy a Soul Food? I don't want a shitload of distortion from the pedal itself, I just want something to push the RM100 a bit harder for solos and maybe add a small touch of colour. I'm currently running a Timmy for that.
All I'm playing now is straight up Aussie Pub Rock type stuff.

no idea what i'll be building yet. at the moment im fighting with paint haha.

like, i want to get everything completely sorted now before i get too far. i want a consistant and reliable way to swirl in any weather first.

i also think i've made templates for drilling that will be reliable.

baby steps, no rush.

Paint still cracking? TBH, sounds like it's still too thick a mixture of paint. I usually paint at night and let dry overnightt, works out fine.

Hey John I may FB message you in a bit. Got a fried TS9 that I can't get to work. Replaced the fried diode, and checked the voltage readings on the IC and electrolytics. Can't figure out why it's not coming on now, might be something to do with the switch.
