Only thing I'd add is spray some contact cleaner on your new tube's pins and insert them a few times to ensure they seat well. You may find AT7 or other alternates suit you better in V1 than the AX7 but there are other threads that discuss the several possible combos and their results. Good luck and please post your results when finished modding. I'd like to see how it turns out.

Thanks a lot dkunick for the tutorial. Did mine yesterday and it came out ok. I struggled a bit with the Tolex but it isn't that bad.

I added an Led strip inside with an external power supply. Problem is that I cannot run both the LED and the amp. When I do so, I hear a big feedback sound coming from the amp. Would it be caused by the led power supply magnetic field ? When I unplug the led power supply, the amp runs great.

Thank you again sir !

Yeah, it can be a task...my first attempt was a pain also. Learned alot though. Your feedback problem sounds like it could be the power supply to the LEDs...can you use an "off board" supply away from the amp?
