Reforming/Building My JS100 - Help

First post, I have searched for a few threads for some answers, so I apologize if I am writing this in the incorrect forum area, but here we go

I have a Ibanez JS100 (Joe Satriani Series) this one is the lowest end option. I do not play this guitar any longer but I am wanting another shred/soloist guitar.

To get to the point I am wanting to replace the currecnt pickups with a DiMarzio Pro Track pickup, and DiMarzio Mo' Joe humbucker. Basically to memick his newest line the JS2400. Is this possible? My father in law is awesome with woodwork, but I wanted to check some forums out for some advice.

Basically I want the js2400 sound without spending $2000
