Hi,
I recentely faced a problem with approving tabs.
My Tab is similar chord with another version but very different in timing.
When user wanna play with old version (by other user) its not possible for timing.
Then I create new one with correct timing and you rejected it.
Then I came with details to show why my timing is accurate and one of the site moderators (Emad) approved that my timing has better accuacy.
But still reject!
Can you tell me why I should get a lot of negative points and rejection for the more accurate tab?
I hope somebody responsible answer me.
Thanks

As far as I'm aware you don't get points deducted for having a tab rejected.

Your tab got negative points as it's only slightly different to an existing tab - that's how the approval system works. They're not deducted from your score if that's what you're worried about.
Have you read this - http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/cont...n/help/tabGuide

Anyone listening to the song can figure out the timings of a chord tab so it's not that important.

Hey Bro,
I do not agree with you.
If timing is not important why we put chords at the top of each line text? We cn put them one time at the top of tab. Maybe for you as seems you are super pro you play from tab without following timing but for newbie like me its vital to have chords exactly at the top of text to play better and this is difference between this app and other websites.
Secondly, if you are user for long time which seems you are, then you definitely saw a lot of songs versions that chords are similar or just transposed but timings are different and all of them has scored by users, it means people using more accurate tabs also.
The problem is the moderators here dont care about what I say and just they repeat what they called rules and they didnt follow before.
Hope it would be clear as I'm a newbie not well known English.
Thanks

This version I am submitting is in a different key than the one posted and also uses some G chord variation that I hear when listening to the recording.

See the "Start Tabbing" section, Case #2. For Misc Unsigned Bands, the song title requires both band name and song name. We need both pieces of information: "Artist's Name - Song Title." (rate before appeal: -5)

Tab was rejected due to reason above. When i change it a red box to the right of the song name appears but the only option it gives me is the same as it was when it was voted down.
Catch 22 or am i missing something, new to this.
Thanks

Hi everyone

Since 2 weeks I am trying to upload a tab that took me few hours to do. It corresponds to a quite recent video from Sungha Jung (new version of Let it go uploaded in Jan) and as I couldn't find any version of it on the net I thought it would be a good idea to share it and also let the community improving it.
But instead I have already faced few rejections which I do not understand:
Some flagged some mistakes on the rythmes => well fair enough but shouldn't we enable people to propose a better option later on rather than pushing it back completely to me to improve it by myself (I don't even really see what's wrong btw)
Some said that other versions existed which as far as I'm aware is not even true for this version...

Please tell me what I am missing. I thought this was a community and I feel like I'm passing a job interview :-o

Best regards
Nicolas

When artist collaborate, it should be possible to mention them all, without the need to create a new artist. I've added a tab where two artist collaborate, but I'm only able to add one, otherwise the system alerts for an unknown artist.
Adding collaborating should be made possible by dividing them for example with a semicolon sign ";". The tab should then be linked to all artist collaborating and the collaboration should be mentioned in the overview and tab.

Hi all!

Again an old question about lvl 4 contributor which no one cares to answer. 10 approved tabs with high quality?! It's very poorly explained, and I appeal to UG staff to finally explain that and put that explaination in Cotributor's lever table in Approval queue FAQ!!!

Thanks!
