Blue Mikey Digital

Price: $100

Video Review::

Features/Specs:
Transducer type: Condenser, Pressure Gradient
Polar patterns: Cardioid
Frequency Response: 35Hz – 20kHz
Sample Rate: 44.1kHz/16 bit
Weight: .18 lbs.
Dimensions 2.5” (L) x 2.5” (W) x .5” (H)

Pros:
- Easy to use
- Improoved Sound
- Decent Features
- Pivot Mount

Cons:
- Handling Noise
- Wind Noise
- Price
- Old Style Connection

My take on it all:
This is another loaner product Blue Mics gave to me for review and I must say, save your money on this one!
I thought it was going to be a fantastic mic...and it does in fact improve your recording quality with it's stereo capsule array however it does not fit the price of $100 as it lacks in areas such as wind noise, software it works with, and the older style connection which is now just about discontinued.
I tried to say something nice about this one, but every now and then I come across one that I just don't have anything nice to say and this is one of them.

Boss TU-3 Tuning Pedal

Price: $100

Video Review::

Features/Specs:
Transducer type: Condenser, Pressure Gradient
Polar patterns: Cardioid
Frequency Response: 35Hz – 20kHz
Sample Rate: 44.1kHz/16 bit
Weight: .18 lbs.
Dimensions 2.5” (L) x 2.5” (W) x .5” (H)

Pros:
  • Accurate 21-segment LED meter
  • New High-Brightness mode enhances meter visibility outdoors
  • Fast Accu-Pitch technology accurate to +/- one cent
  • Allows tuning of Guitar and Bass with multiple tuning types
  • Dual outputs allow for true bypass or mute mode which can be used at same time
  • Dual power jacks allow the ability to power other pedals with optional power supply

Cons:
  • Eats batteries (so be sure to unplug input cable at end of use!)

My take on it all:
This is something I picked up when I went to a guitar center with my cousin. I have been meaning to pick up a dedicated pedal as my Yamaha Magicstomp was not accurate eough. Long story short, this thing has a TON of features and tunes your guitar or bass really fast and accurate. I think it's a great product. I did think my unit was defective after running through 2 9v batteries in 2 days, but turns out the manual says it's still running unless the input cable is unplugged! ....so yea, be sure you unplug that unless you run off of 9v outlet power like I just ordered.
Overall, a great product and much improoved over the TU-2 unit, and I'd highly suggest buying it.

Video review soon to come!
