^^ thanks greg

^ lol, here you go

Didn't get the pics taken before natural light went... it actually looks a bit brighter with the electric lights/flash as the sparkly finish sort of reflects it a lot. it nearly looks like ferrari red on my charvel in those pics, but in natural light it's definitely candy apple.

EDIT: some slight white guff in the f-hole as you can see there in the second pic. not too worried either way, will it polish out? or just ignore it? (I'm guessing i'll most likely just ignore it i think my eggle semihollow has similar stuff in the f-hole that i've never gone near either)

sounds really nice. sounds more like a tele than i'd have expected with the wide ranges and strat bridge. but a bit different too.

i'm guessing no treble bleed on the volume, it gets a bit darker than i'd like rolled back (guessing that's vintage-accurate though ). think it's maybe meant to have 250k volume pots too, maybe that wouldn't help either?

but yeah it's nice. silly good deal. there have been a few other good deals too (the '69 i mentioned and another shop here had the '52 hot rod tele (with neck minibucker) for 700 too, and a USA deluxe tele for 800, but by that point i'd ordered mine... which i'd probably have still gone for anyway, I think, but for a minute I was slightly not sure

some people on the fretboard forum were saying fender was offering "buy 6 get 6 free" to dealers on these ones which are on offer. no idea if that's true or not, but it sounds plausible when you consider how much less than usual they're going for, and how several shops have these deals all at once.

Congrats! Sexy Sparklecaster!

You really need the USA Deluxe, too.

I've been staring at the MIM natural. USA might be too much $$$ for me.

I out new strings on my strat less than a month ago, hadn't played since... Just walked down and they're rusted. This had never been an issue before. I guess my basement is extra damp lately? (That's what she said.)

Put the bike in gear for the first time today! I've put 15 miles on it just driving up and down the road , it's a snappy little bastard for such a small bike. Redlines at 10,500rpm and goes to 13,000. I'm missing the side covers and have to run open air filters, but it's running like a champ.

First actual gig with the new drummer tonight. Should be a good night, really good lineup of bands. We are going on first but I may just hang around to see all of them this time.
And we have another gig tomorrow. We're on last at that one.
Busy weekend. Two gigs in a row. My voice is gonna be ****ed.

All the more punk! Post pics if you can.

Nice Tele, Dave! The Thinline really brings a bit of class to the Tele look.

EDIT: I like your choice of pick as well, the green gator was my go-to for a long time until I discovered the Ultex Sharps!

Oh yeah. Any of you guys tried the M-Audio USB condenser mic? We are going to be recording soon and I was going to hire a decent condenser to do the vocals but a friend just bought an M-Audio one that I could probably borrow. The other M-Audio gear I've tried was pretty good sounding kit but I know nothing about their microphones.

Holden, that bike is freaking beautiful. It seems too have really been taken care of, at least cosmetically. Maybe I will keep my Yamaha baby twin stock. Those bikes really are sexy as ****.

I don't even know what it is, I only saw the rear end. Early seventies twin.

I actually wrote a heavy blues song over this last week or so. Just kinda happened. "Blackout Drunk Blues".
