Thumbs down

JUNK JUNK JUNK
I have a Bugera Classic 1990. It is a 400 dollar boat anchor or door stopper! The sad thing is that the amp sounded pretty good. I took a look inside after Bugera told me that the warranty had expired and they wouldn't fix it on their dime. It is a pile of crap. The board is paper thin and the components look like they came out of a $9.99 Texas Instruments calculator! I would NEVER buy anything from them again.

Now my Jet City JCA50H (which costs about the same) is total quality. Strong circuit boards with decent components. The JCA50H can be inexpensively modded to sound out of this world but it still sounds nice right out of the box.

The lesson learned is that in most cases, you get what you pay for.

That is why I got a Marshall JVM410HJS and have NEVER LOOKED BACK!! This amp gives me everything I want and more!

Bugera has some new stuff. Obviously g20 is a blackstar ht but the T50 caught my eye. Any idea what it might be cloned from. Doesnt look familiar at all. Could it be something original!? *gasps*

Hey guys !
Ive been using Bugera 6262-212 Infinium for about 2-3 months and red light started to glow. It shows, that 3rd power amp tube needs to be swapped. I would like to change it for JJ 6L6, but im not sure if i have to buy all 4 of them or just swap only the broken one. Also it sounds almost ok, but produces bigger amount of feedback and very strong squealing even when standing about 5 meters away from the amp. I guess i should not play through it (im new to tube amps) so i would be grateful for any advice.
And im sorry if i wrote it in wrong section or something, but im just getting into UG forums.
Thanks in advance !

Isnt that the point of infinium? You can mix and match 6l6 and el34 tubes and different brands without worrying about biasing? But if you are still having the stock bugera tubes i would change them all. They are crap. Keep the working ones as spares.

Oh man, thank you very much ! I dont know how could i misunderstood that ( English isnt my native language though). And I am really on a budget so i cant afford all of them at once, so ill buy 2 probably and immediately after I earn some more Ill get the rest of them.
Bugera rocks btw.

I personally would not rely on Bugera's Infinium technology and the indicator lights. If you really want to know what is going on with your amp get a tube socket bias probe and a multimeter. I can't recommend buying single power tubes for replacements. At least buy matching pairs and keep the rest as spares. If you are getting a lot of squealing then there is a chance you have a different problem altogether such as a bad preamp tube. Run the pencil test on the preamp tubes and see if any are microphonic.
