Here it is

2007 US reissue, all stock, plays like a dream, highish action (the way I like it, hehe) and it's starting to show some natural relic on the fretboard, the big ding on the body is the result of leaving my kids with the guitar for half a second...

Dang! Apparently, the DZPL Tagliare Z-Glide with the "Retro Blonde" finish- a transparent flamed top- was a limited quantity finish.

CustomAxe and Mephaphil both have new strats. We need them in this thread. Also, the contour on those Tagliares are awesome. I've been looking around for my next Strat, and I end up on Dean's website quite a bit. I'm torn between those and a Godin Progression.

I'm really interested in the Z-glide and the price for Dean's Strat, however, I haven't ever played one. I've played Progressions and know they're solid. Hmmmm...

Dick Dales' guitar is sparkle gold. Mine's sparkle red. Destiny?

The Deans are fairly dark between the pickups and the basswood body. Probably not what you want if you're playing surf.

Ditto all that, though I'm leaning towards the Session over the Progression. And for the worst possible reason: it comes in a color I prefer!

???

The Deans we're talking about are the Dean Zelinsky Private Labels- made with alder, not basswood.

I've got a set of Fat 50's on the shelf at home that will find their way into whatever happens next. I'm not worried about the pickups. It'll probably be a bit before I move on anything. The Sparklecaster is an awesome guitar, I did a lot of good work with it. I'm waiting around for the right deal to come along. If it never does, I'll still be perfectly fine with it

EDIT:

This is super cool: http://image.rakuten.co.jp/chuya-on...jpg?_ex=128x128

I'll play...
This is my beauty.
She's only about 4 months old.
60th anniversary American Standard.
I'm in love with this guitar.
Never had a strat before.

Yep, it's a real great rig to play. Sounds amazing. Took a very long time for me to get this rig. I am 100% happy with my sound.
