that's gorgeous. Though I'd spend my life getting fingerprints off of it.

the reason i got the 270 was a result of me trading in the 156 rig (150b head with 106 2x15 cab). picked up the 156 rig for like 275 and traded it back in cuz it was too big (sounded great though). picked up the 270 for 100 bucks so i'd still have something from Acoustic, and cuz FZ played that amp quite a bit.

the 106 cab brings me back to when i liked my bass setups stupid huge. i used to run a G&L SB-2 into a Music Man HD-150 going into a Marshall 1x18 cab. this signal was spit off to the 156 rig that also ran my Sunn 6x10 cab with it.

i'd also run the signal with an A/B/Y box so i could run my mutron III on the Acoustic setup and run the music man/marshall setup without the mutron. sounded sick, you can see everything but the G&L in that pic (the mutron is sitting on top the MM). such a fun setup.

Damn man. Lots of nice stuff.
I dont care for the 106. The Traynor Super Twin 15 with EV SROs slays it. Obviously. Haha.

I wish all my stuff wasnt broken. Haha.

Playing through a 212 with EVM12Ls and EVM 215 with the B and L speakers sounds immense, even with a stock Tele.

Gumbi, do you still have the 106? Does it have the original speakers? If so, how can I tell if mine does or not?

no, i don't have the 156 stack anymore. mine had aftermarket eminence speakers cuz the originals were blown.

i have no idea what the original speakers were anyway. if you want to find out if they are stock then take a look at the back of the speakers. there should be like a 6 or 7 digit code on it. if the speaker is original it should have a code that corresponds to the time period it was made.

for example, your 106 may have been made in the early 70's so the speaker code would relate to the like '71 or '72

http://www.webervst.com/codes.html

the code should tell you the manufacturer and the date of production.

I recently ran my Acoustic 370 through my 1960A, SUPER HUGE. Acoustic amps are sooo over-looked when people want clean, loud old amps to throw a fuzz in front of

Hell yeah dude. The 270 is the same power section as the 370 but with a different preamp focused on guitar range and such. It's great. Love that thing. Absolutely huge through my mesa cab
