I have learned the 5 positions of the pentatonic after many months of repetition.

What other things should be learned next?

You've barely scratched the tip of the iceberg..

I would say things to work on:

Building technique
Songs
Ear training
Theory
Improvisation
Writing own material
Play with other people
And forget about "lead guitar" and start thinking about "guitar".

Instead of thinking of "lead" guitar, think about guitar in general. Even if you stick to the idea of having a lead and rhythm guitarist, you're going to be doing rhythm parts 80+% of the time.

If you've learned the five pentatonic positions, next you should learn the five basic positions for the major and minor diatonic scales. Then learn how to construct major/minor diatonic and pentatonic scales.

musictheory.net is a great resource for learning basic theory like that. Look through the lessons and try to apply those ideas to your playing (though bear in mind that theory isn't a set of rules, so don't feel restricted).

As for technique, I'd say work on making your alternate picking as small and economical as possible and build good hammer-ons and pull-offs.

Above all else, learn songs you like! That's why you're playing the guitar, isn't it?

Be musical when doing 'leads'. Make sure not to play scales for the sake of it
