I prefer tight strings. It has a nice feel and ring to it, like I can play palm muted breakdowns a lot better. My example riffs are that of The Advent Of A Miracle by Strongarm and pretty much any song off of That Within Blood Illed Tempered by Shai Hulud, albeit that album is played in half step down

my only preference for strings is using elixirs(usually 10s) because they rule.

Elixirs feel great but they break quick like all other strings for me so I don't give out the cash for em anymore. Anyone have the issue of breaking strings at the bridge and Only breaking the sound strings?

Slinky Top Heavy Bottom for my Les Paul in drop C# or drop C tuning

Not Even Slinky on my Baritone in drop A tuning.

My world is a wonderful place and my strings are huge.

Noooooope. Way too small for me. I used to use them for drop A# but the lowest two felt like spaghetti so I got a 60 on the lowest. Got my schecter in A standard and it's got a combination of Beefy Slinky's and a GHS .060 on the 7th string.

And forgot to mention I now use Daddario 13-56 sets for drop A# and C standard. Dat wound E string.

I can't find my guitar online... that is weird.

I mean I can find my Les Paul, but not my baritone...

I don't think ill ever go lower than C or B. I'm not into the whole downtuning idea. E standard or half step down is my preference. Totally got out of playing in drop c after my last band

i have never broken a string by playing, they always rust so i have to change them. so elixirs are prefect for me i guess.

I've never broken one by rust. They usually bust at the bridge from playing. Possibly a bit too hard. But that only happens once or twice a year

So I'm getting shipped off July 7th for basic. Funny I say shipped off because basic is just on the south side of town here in San Antonio
