I bought and read the last 4 deluxe editions of Y in one day. Totally worth it.

Finished Preacher the other day.

It's probably the largest series I've ever read in its entirety and it really didn't disappoint me. It gets dumb. It's immature at times but it's just so much fun to read. It made me properly laugh, made me smile a big daft wide smile and it also got genuinely heartfelt at times. I'm satisfied with how it ended. As much as I loved the whole thing, I'm happy to leave it there and I think that's the mark of a good series.

Also, decided I'm going to finally read through the entire Death and Return of Superman arc.

I already read up to the actual "death" years ago but I recently picked up World Without a Superman and The Return of Superman is on its way. It's pretty dumb and the 90's really was a terrible time for DC. There is so much weird shit but it's not whimsical and fun weird shit. Like Lex Luthor is posing as his own son in a cloned body with this ridiculous ginger hair. He's in a weird relationship with that shape shifting Supergirl clone. It's really messed up. Also there's all those B-list heroes they keep trying to push. Saying that, World Without a Superman had some (brief) moments that were pretty nice. Though I feel like when The Return of Superman arrives I'm going to be plunged into a convoluted mess of shit.

^all of garth's works seem to do that to me leave with a goofy ass smile, going through his hellblazer runs right now and loving it.

I've just read stump town an even though it's only been one issue it hooked me, any one know of any similar reads. Gritty kinda detective or realistic types.

Not enough good things can be said about the last five Batman Eternal issues.

That is all.

Ennis' Punisher and Hellblazer runs are fantastic.

Ennis is my favourite writer. I recently read Rover Red Charlie. Really impressed at the character development, especially in only six issues.

Read volumes 2 and 3 of Y: The Last Man. It's a lot of fun and I'm absolutely eager to continue it but damn, comics are expensive. I mean I buy as cheap as I can but it just adds up quickly. I'm still due some pay from my last job though so I'll pick up the next couple of volumes when that comes through, along with maybe the last New X-Men book so I can finish Grant Morrison's run (then maybe move on to Joss Whedon's).
