$400-500 classical

I don't have much money to spend, but I'd like to get a new guitar. I'm primarily a bass player but I love the sound of a classical. I grew up listening to my Dad playing one... I'd love to get one.

Check out the Yamaha offerings... You should be able to get a nice, solid-top instrument for that without problems. Takamine makes nice entry-level guitars as well.

I think If you like yamaha, you should try the 2nd which are made in 70s and 80s, at that time they still make a good one. I bought CG-160s (only 100$) and its sound really suprise me. Just ebay and find some stuff right for you

Yamaha or Takemine are both very good choices.

I'd look into used Almansa's. They are very good. I've played and had a lot of guitars, but am very happy with my Alamansa.
