Just this song by a dutch 70s band called focus: Love it!
They're nuts and have an album called "mother focus" Oh and I'm just getting into Hawkwind. The old stuff. Gotta listen to them if you aren't already! It's great stuff. Here's one of their songs: What else; ooh yeah magma! and http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4...h-extrait_music They're french, and apparently, the drummer invented his own language. |

Hey, what's happenin'? I have a big dump of stuff here that I've been meaning to throw in this thread for about a year now. Got the day off of work, so it's just as good a time as any. Some of these could be fleshed out a little better with recommended albums, but I put Wikipedia links up in case anybody wanted to do some of their own research.
I've been hearing most of these albums for most of my life (feeding and diapers included) and I thought it strange that some of these were neglected in this thread, but I guess not everybody knows what others know... Anyhow, here you go: Alvin Lee & Mylon LeFevre Country Rock, Pop Rock 1972 On The Road To Freedom http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Road_to_Freedom Atlanta Rhythm Section Southern Rock, Soul, Boogie, Pop Rock 1972 A Rock and Roll Alternative, Champagne Jam http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta_Rhythm_Section The Beat Farmers Country/Roots Rock, Rockabilly 1983 Glad 'N' Greasy, Pursuit Of Happiness, and Loud, Plowed, and...LIVE!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Beat_Farmers Bonnie Raitt Blues Rock, Soul, Folk 1971 Bonnie Raitt, Give It Up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonnie_Raitt Dave Mason Rock, Folk Rock, Pop Rock 1970 Alone Together, Headkeeper http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Mason David Gilmour Rock, Blues Rock 1978 David Gilmour The Dixie Dregs Jazz Rock, Fusion 1976 What If, Night Of The Living Dregs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dixie_Dregs Elvin Bishop Rock, Blues Rock, Country Rock, Boogie 1969 Juke Joint Jump, Struttin' My Stuff http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elvin_Bishop Hot Tuna Blues Rock, Blues, Rock 1970 Burgers, The Phosphorescent Rat, Hoppkorv http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Tuna J.J. I don't even like to call Guns N' Roses 'Classic Rock' so I won't reccomend them, I'd say Iron Butterfly's Ina Gada Da Vida, or Elvis.

As much as I hate Guns & Roses, I must say that they are Classic Rock. Sorry Classic Rock...

80's glam Rock to me always felt like Classic Rock to me. GnR just have a Classic Rock feel to them, you know? But that Slash (Saul Hudson) is so overrated.

^^From the rules of this forum:
"Classic Rock can be generally defined as Rock Music that came into existence between 1955 and 1984. Bands anywhere from The Beatles and The Yardbirds to Bad Company, Aerosmith and Queen belong in Classic Rock. Bands like Guns and Roses, Metallica, Motorhead, Poison are not Classic Rock. The Music must fit the genre."
