Can someone identify this Blade guitar?
Not sure if this is the place to ask this, but i give it a go anyway.
A friend of mine has a Blade guitar he bought back in '91 (he thinks) now the only information he gave me is, it was expensive, and its a great guitar, and he wants to sell it to me for about 1800 dollar. Now this strikes me as kind of expensive so i decided to look into the whereabouts, and this is where it gets hard. There's hardly any info about this guitar. After some searching i found out it is probably a RH4 blade, simply because the RH2 doesnt have the same color in body and headstock, and this one does. But on google i find RH4 guitars and on the headstock it actually says RH4, this one only says "advanced concepts by gary livinson". It also has livinson pickups btw. For the rest i'm pretty clueless... So who can help me out?! ![]() ![]() |

Blades are supposed to be pretty nice- it MAY be worth that much- but you need more info.
Send the pix to Blade- they may be able to help you ID it, especially if you guys supply them the serial number. (I don't know any models that come with cats, though...)

Ask him if the cat's included, I'm sure people will pay more if it is.

It's a legitimate Blade RH4, it just has the old headstock. Older models don't have the actual model number printed on the headstock, just the Advanced Concepts bit, like this one, (which is basically the same guitar you posted). $1800 might be a bit steep, you could try talking the down the price to $1500 or so.

if it is what he says it is (i'm no blade expert) then it's probably a killer guitar (from what i hear... i've only tried the cheaper blades). That being said, 1800 does sound pretty steep (unless they're more sought-after than i think they are).

Thats a problem if i would keep it in the case, or would be allergic to cat hair. The case is somewhere in the room along with the other cases that never open. I stopped baby-ing my expensive guitars, now they are in the room, and i can grab them when i want. Instead of always playing the same guitar cuz i'm too lazy to get up, open a case, take the guitar,,, blaaah. too much work. ![]() |
