I've heard so much shit said about "scene kids" and "emos" both on the internet and real life, that I decided that this forum might be the right place for a civil discussion on this subject.

Really? I haven't heard anyone talk about scene kids or emos for at least 4 years.

I think the main wave of scenes died out about a year ago, emos haven't been a trend since about 2008. I guess you get 'alternative girls' sometimes.

All the scene kids I was friends with in high school are now "hipsters" or don't try to attach they're whole personality to some bullshit fad anymore. More the former than the latter.

I like scene kids better than hipsters.

At least scene kids mosh, the little that they can because they don't want to mess up their hair and they don't want their numerous piercings to get stuck on someone.

Compared to at shows hipsters just stand still shaking their hips back and forth slowly and nodding their heads slowly while giving a pissy look while wearing glasses too big for them.

Hipsters don't exist; that isn't a thing.

Emo kids wear skinny jeans band shirts from bands you've never heard of, don't shower and post inside jokes on Tumblr THAT'S IT

It scares me how much of your life you've wasted capturing stills from Escape The Fate's YouTube channel.

Open a window. Start drinking tea. You're doing music wrong.
