AFC telford sacked me
Didn't get promoted second season in the skrill premier was shit with the team hovering around the relegation spots despite reinforcements across the board. Oh well.

Started a new save, and this time I took over Boreham Wood (skrill south) instead of starting unemployed. The budget is tighter than at Telford, but things are ok. Finished the first season in 7th spot as predicted by the media. Did some reinforcing for the second season but it took us a while to hit a good run. The chairman even threatened to sack me at one point if I didn't grab 10 out of 15 points. That somehow spurred us on and we ended up winning all those games plus a few cup ties in between. Sat in second right now, but the table is tighter than the premier league this season.
1st is on 33 pts, 2nd to 4th are on 32 pts, 5th to 8th on 30.
I also caught some shit luck with 3 of our 4 center mids out. Two of them for 2-3 months. Damn it right as we started picking up the points.

Anyway I came to post here because this happened

(also cleverley can't catch a break in game either)

Finished 8th in my first Bundesliga season with Union Berlin. Nearly got the last Europa League spot, but I needed Gladbach to lose to Hamburg. And then they did, but we bottled it with a draw at home to Mainz

edit: SCENES THO

I'm running a really good LLM career at the minute with Havant & W, finished in the playoffs in my first season (from a pre-season prediction for a relegation struggle), and then won the league in the second season. Now I'm in the BSP and doing pretty well, after 20 games we're sitting in a strong mid-table position. I've built a good, young team that I'm very fond off.

And now Northampton are coming along and offering me a job, with their budget and higher league, and I can't decide if I should take it or not. If I do take it I'll be dumped into a relegation battle with a team that I don't know.

unfortunately I had to quit my post at Zenit 10 years in. the rule that you have to have 4 Russians on the field at all time is a real pain in the ass, and makes the CL really tough. I just couldn't take it anymore. now managing Chile in 2026 WCQ [hosted by the USA!]

Googled it and this came up

Quote:
Stegen is one of the best keepers on FM 2012, his distribution underlines his overall ability which includes an impressive rushing out attribute. The only real weakness comes in his reflexes and aerial ability but these are high enough to limit his errors. The 19 year old is available for £20.5 million which may be a little much, but you are getting a quality keeper for the next 15 years and his price drops to around £8.5 million after a season or two. The above screenshot demonstrates Stegen’s good development but he still has some improving to do…all I can say is I signed him with Malaga and he’s been a rock especially in the big matches.

So probably around £10m

Boreham wood sacked me too.
What a stupid name for a club anyway

Got Hired by Celtic Stalybridge in the skrill north, and all was well from that point on.
got them promoted to the prem in 9 years time. The board started work on a 16k seater stadium and all.

But hey things can't be all good, so my save decided to take a crap on me. The prem season doesn't start. The board sets the new budgets on the basis of being in the prem, but the table doesn't get updated and the new fixtures aren't announced.

Anyone had something like this happen before?

Managed to unbork my save thanks to the SI support on their forums. Quite happy

Took stalybridge over in the middle of the 15/16 season.

The season in the prem will be played at our 6000 seats stadium. That'll be fun.

Started out around 3000 while the stadium was being converted to an all seater, then I pretty much sold out everyweek once it was done.

It still was in the bottom 4 attendance figures for the championship. That's one thing that stayed constant, I always had among the lowest wage bills and lowest attendance figures.

Sometimes it was enraging. Seeing teams like bolton a level or two below us and getting 4-5 times the number of supporters we got.

One of the big positives is I'm a club legend now. Still I'm behind a player I brought in.

Problem is it's always gonna be a low attendance due to the fact Stalybridge has a population of 20k. Unless you get a load of bandwagoners in but I don't FM works like that.

Just a flat 442 with a target man and advanced forward, two wingers (A) and two CMs one defending and one automatic. Nothing fancy.

I read a lot of theories about the attendance thing, I'm not sure which ones are true. I've seen the one linked to city population, and one about competition from nearby clubs. If it's the latter I'm screwed with the two manchester giants close by.
