Dude, Eventide Timefactor and to a similar extent the Strymon Timeline.

I just said Timefactor first because they are cheaper new and come up pretty often second hand here in AUS (Melb at least) and the analog (It might have been the tape mode but can't remember. I am pretty sure it was the ANA mode though) setting on them IS TO DIE FOR. Also it does the clean digital thing better than the Timeline. At least that's what I gathered from the few hours I got to play with one.

Also, I picked up a smallsound/bigsound Buzzz yesterday and my life has been changed forever. Dayum.

This is happening in Brighton in December - Swans, Mono, Savages... I can hear the tinnitus already...

SICK MAN
Courtney Barnett is also pretty mad:

COMPLETELY different vibes to SWANS and MONO but pretty cool to see her sharing a bill with them when she is from just down the road from here

Ooh that looks fun. I recommend checking out Gold Panda if you haven't . It's not post-rock, but the few songs I've heard are good

Mono is coming to Stockholm in November too, already got my tickets

Dang the thread has been busy. Not much new here, except I'm trading my Choralflange for a DD-20 and some cash. I love the Moog but I need to supplement it with pristine delays every now and then. Previously I had been getting by with a clean setting on the El Capistan.

After building my collection up for a while and getting a some cool gear, I now play in a band where I use none of them.

was what I used plus some other random boost/dirt pedals. Used to play alternative rock style stuff with lots of effects going, now I play in a emo/skramz/whatever band and the only pedal I step on is my tuner lol.

How do you like the TAFM? I just bought a Buzzz but am a little bummed deluxe had no TAFMs as I wanted to try putting verbs and delays before it and **** with the clean blend. The Buzzz is ****ing mad though.

I reckon you could at least find a use for the SMMH in that band, surely

I really liked the clean blend on it, the reason I bought it was to mess around with it. It's really great just as a layering thing to fill out a lot of sound if you don't have too much stuff competing within that sonic range already. I bought it at the height of my Japandroids fever, and it's really great to bang out big full chords on without losing definition and still have some power behind it without lugging around a multi-amp setup like they do lol. It was pretty cheap too.

Maybe if we got weird I could sneak in some delay lol, but at the moment we just play quick and tight as possible. Anything else would just muddle up the sound.

The noise-country behemoth was premiered at a gig last night. The promoter booked us on a night of folk-rock bands and solo artists so was probably quite surprised when the last 3 minutes of our set was droning bass feedback, self-oscillating delays and me hollering obscenities and playing desolate, atonal harmonica lines. But everyone we spoke to after we played said it was the best song in our set. What can I say - people like noise...
