Gibson Explorer not X-plorer!

I am currently in the market for a Gibson Explorer similar to the one I purchased back in 95. I am looking for a similar model, the basic traditional '76 Explorer, not the X-plorer that Ive only read about and not seen. I know very little about the X-plorer. Do they look similar to the traditional '76 Explorer? Ive heard they are scaled down abit in size. What are some tell tale signs to assure I do not get taken?

I think it's same guitar and Gibson just changed the name.

Are you referring to the X-plorer pro models?

The scale length is the same, but the body is 10% smaller. No loss in tone what so ever
Starting Weight: 310, 38.8% Body fat (11/2008, pic in profile)
Latest Weigh in 230.2 14.3% Body fat (4/13/2013)

Pro life, pro gun, health nut, Christian and conservative. I make no apologies if what I say pisses anybody off.
