Distant tremelo picking sound

Hey guys, i play in a melodic hardcore band. We have lots of soft "artsy" parts and whatnot. Anyways, to get to the point, i am wondering what sort of pedal to look into, whether is be delays, or reverbs or combinations of the two, in order to get that distant but powerful tremelo picking sound. I have a line 6 dl4 and the delays are great, but i feel as if a reverb needs to be put in the mix somewhere. Here are some examples of the sound i am going for.

starting at about 3:58

3:51

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

A delay with good bit of feedback and a huge reverb. That's what I use. So you're just missing the reverb. I use a neunaber wet reverb and it sounds amazing for that kind of stuff, but it all depends on your budget.

The boss rv-3 is a discontinued pedal that a lot of bands use for that sound. It has delay and reverb together. Basically you just turn it on and instantly have that sound haha.

Some good reverbs to look at are the tc electronics hall of fame, neunaber wet, boss rv-3, boss rv-5, mr. Black supermoon.

No problem

Also, not a big fan of architects but that Bon iver cover is nice!

Sick, I didn't know Architects covered Bon Iver!

Basically what ^he said. Look for an old RV-3, Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master or two separate pedals...in this case just a reverb since you have a delay already.
