Novice songs in Drop B that don't suck
Right now I have 12-60 strings on my guitar, and I wan't to learn at least 1 (if not more) good songs before I change my strings.
Novice means I don't want to call myself beginner but I am not the greatest guitarist. Genres are death metal, black metal, maybe some metalcore... I have heavy gauge strings and can't tune up so I want to learn some low-tuned songs. Any suggestions?

I'm a certified guitarist from the league of certified guitars and I can assure you anything in Drop B, does indeed suck.

Try Metal Movie Marijuana Massacre Meltdown by Acid Witch.
It's pretty easy, it's Drop B, and it's death metalish. |

Firstly, **** the pussy music. No pansy Slipknot shit...Secondly, learn "Holy Water" - Soundgarden. It's a fairly easy guitar part, sounds good, rock's. And it's in Drop-B.
http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/s/s...y_water_tab.htm ^There's a link to the tab on UG. When you get to be a more competent guitarist, go for the faster more complicated/technical metal parts. But Holy Water is a good easy piece to start with. And it's fun to play! ![]() Last edited by Kimkelson : 12-30-2012 at 07:15 PM. |
