Ultimate-Guitar used to have this Meebo bar (if I remember the brand correctly), which we could use to send messages to one another like in most Instant Messaging applications (like AIM, YIM and MSN. It resembled Facebook's chat a bit). This was really useful to me and I have been frequenting UG a lot less now that it has been removed. First off, why was it removed, and second, is there any incentive to bring it back? You have a lot of in-house developers, or so it seems.. why not create your own UG chat application that ties in to all pages in UG?
