If I was looking for a new watch, it would likely be something in that kind of style(though less expensive, because I'm cheap as hell).

yeah thats exactly what im looking for at a watch. I'm not a huge guy (1.76 / 70kg) so big watches look absurd on me. and shiny / big watches just scream "show off". Rather go with something elegant and simple.

I dont have the cash for it atm but yeah I have to invest to it at some point in my life.

Reminds me, I need to get my great granddad's watch repaired sometime. That'll probably cost roughly a ****ton of money.

It probably has more sentimental value, considering it was presented at his retirement, and he worked in a jute mill.

Are you all having a watch discussion without me?

http://www.amazon.com/Frederique-Co...c/dp/B00AF7H4B6

Try the Frederique Constant Slimline Automatic. This one is plated in rose gold with a stainless steel case. MSRP is $3,000 but I found this deal the other day when I was window-shopping the Internet.

The Amazon image does it no justice. See the Google images. I've tried it on for myself and nearly bought it.

Frederique Constant is a great up-and-coming small company whose movements are hailed pretty decent. Entirely in-house (if you care about that) and Swiss-made. I've never heard of Chr. Ward until just now.

I used pomade for the first time ever because I'm gonna go full pretty boy. I like how it looks, just hate how it feels because I have naturally very smooth, soft hair. I'll keep experimenting and see if I'll stick with it.

Hey all,

I have to go to an engagement party next friday, and this is the first time I've been to one since I was about 13.

The dress code on the invite is "Semi formal/party dress", so I'm trying to figure out what that actually is.

So far my best idea is a nice deep blue suit, with a check shirt and no tie.

Am I going down the right track here?
