Haven't tried any recent Agile guitars but a few users here purchase quite a few Agiles and think they're the bees knees. Definitely worth the look.

Too many people around here like Agiles for me to think they're not worth a look.

Double neck is great, amazing sustain. Just don't seem to be able to use it much in the band I'm in at the moment.

Not dead. We have a house again, renting a place in Radcliff. It's not super rad though, and I haven't seen a single cliff. Crock of shit.

About those Agile guitars, I can't find any SG-style guitar on their website?

http://www.agileguitars.org/category/agile-guitars/

I'm an old SG fan and own two of them (let's face it, it's the coolest design ever), but I find a Jackson/Charvel neck *so* much more comfortable to play. What I'd love is an SG with a shredding neck, flat with jumbo frets and all that, and even a floyd rose although I doubt there is any such thing. Does someone know something of the sort, or would I have to resort to expensive custom builds to get that?

Note: it has to be the original flat, symmetrical SG shape, no ESP Vyper or anything like that please.

I find it really sad because there are hundreds of near-identical LP, Strat and Tele clones, but very few SGs.

You know the Gibson/Epi upper horn is slightly longer than the lower one, so they're not actually symmetrical, right?

The Jay Turser JT-50 is symmetrical, though:

Yes I know that, I was thinking about if I should clarify that... what I meant was near-symmetrical. As opposed to those odd awry designs of ESP and others.

Thanks for the link, but that's sadly a more or less copy. I'm looking for something, say... as if Charvel made an SG.

The only way is probably to give a luthier an SG body and build the rest around it, I'm afraid.

You won't find that. I doubt the trem block would even fit an SG (they're much too thin). You'd have to go kahler or something top mounted. FR makes one that retrofits on your posts so you can look into that. You could buy an SG with a trem already installed like the Diablo but you'll still need to refret if you want jumbos. ESP makes one that has the FR, jumbo frets and shred neck [VP-L-FR]. Personally I think it costs too much.

Unless you're getting Gibby/Epi/MIJ, you won't get the proper shape. Unless you want to risk it with cheapo knockoff brands. Even the Agile is off (moreso than the viper)

This is the Agile: http://www.rondomusic.com/product6819.html for reference.

Basically, get one made if you want specs like that.

Or build one from scratch. Why bother giving him a body? He'd still have to plug and redrill a bunch of things.

A US Masters Hornet would probably be right up your alley, specs wise, but they start at $1600. And I think US Masters went out of business in 2014. Shame, too, because I REALLY wanted a Hornet.

Perhaps a used one will pop up- I see US Masters guitars for sale online from time to time.

Could always send them an email.

Anywho I've seen US Masters around but I never used them (hence why I didn't recommend them). Were they any good?

Also, if he wants to go cheap, doesn't Radix make an FRSG?

Thanks for the reply, even if I don't like to hear it, that was pretty helpful. But yes, that Agile guitar is nothing like what I'm looking for. Has to be the original shape.

Good point about the SG being too thin for a Floyd, didn't think of that. I noticed Gibson did a few FR guitars, but no SG if I'm not mistaken.

Guess I'll have to forget this whole thing until I'm filthy rich.

Did- no reply. Could be thy changed IPSs and forgot to update the website with the new email- I've seen that before. I might try calling them.

Oh, yes.

Reminded me of Carvins.

Yup, and it uses Tesla Nitro HBs- pretty hot!

Gibson does/did make SGs with floyds. Their bodies are thicker where the block would go or they use top mounted trems.

But yeah unless you want to risk the Radix Id say youre SOL without dropping decent money.

Thanks, so I guess the best plan is: get rich. And stick to Jackson/Charvel until then.
