Speaker suggestions for 2x12

I am looking for a replacement for my Celestion in my sig. It is starting to crackle a little, I bought it a while back and it was used when I bought it. I just put in the a WGS Veteran 30 and love it. I am looking something to compliment it, if not just get another Veteran 30. The trick is to find a speaker that goes well with my Mesa and the Orange. I will eventually get around to building another cab, but for now just the one.

Will using a speaker with less wattage as the rating on my amp have a large impact on the overall sound (e.g. using a 30w speaker and a 50w speaker for a 50w amp, will the 30w hold the amp back). I am not gigging or playing out, this is just at home. I can get my home volume to be rather loud.

Thanks for any and all help!

A 30W speaker will effectively mean that it is a 60W cab. Should be fine. WGS make a G12T75 clone don't they? That (or an actual T75) would be a good choice.

G12H30 or whatever clone of it you can find, I'm no fan of v30 + T75.

I like the G12T75 paired with the Vet 30. Then again I have not experimented too much with other variants. What about the G12H30 stands out when paired with the vet30. I am not against giving it a shot I just want to have an idea about tonal differences or how it will affect the overall tone?
I am leaning towards the 12h30 (reaper 30) right now.

Side note: I have a Cannabis Rex right now as well, how does that compare?

Ok. I did some further investigating and now I don't think it is a speaker issue. I think it is more amp related. When using the pushed channel on the Mesa when I play chords I get a nice sound at first but it does not last. it sounds like something is restricting the notes from carrying out. There is not a volume loss, just degradation of what appears to be saturation. in the pushed channel the notes should be right at break up which is where I have it, but instead of having that nice break up sound it gets muffled. Is this a tube problem? Bought the amp used, if that helps. Not really wanting to retube right now, but oh well.

Reason for thinking that its the Mesa is I plugged my Orange in and the speaker crackle was not there. I really noticed the crackle when using my LTD, which led me to think tubes, because of the EMG pushing the signal path a little more. Any help is appreciated!
