I'm not entirely sure honestly, I thought I could go and power through it and just expect lower lifts for awhile until I took a rest and wanted to go for a PR. Unfortunately it got to be too much and I probably don't want to feel like shit every single Saturday/Sunday during recovery. Plan is to deadlift less often, space it out onto only Monday and Friday.

Missed a 275lbs bench today because the bar hit my chest too high and my elbows flared too early. Would have been able to get it if I didn't screw up.

Also learning low bar squat as it feels much better overall, except for my hands which feel more pressure. Anyone have any tips for not straining my hands in low bar squat?

No activity in five days? What the hell

Yesterday was my first workout after a couple tough weeks of work. It was stronger than the last chest workout I had before the break, so that's cool.

1) Flat bench
255x8 (could have gotten one more, but had no spotter and didn't want to risk it)
255x7 (same as above)
185x10 pause reps
185x8 pause reps

2) Incline bench
3x155 pause reps (can't remember reps)

3) Weighted pushups

4) Diamond hindu pushups

5) Skull crushers
But we little know until tried how much of the uncontrollable there is in us, urging across glaciers and torrents, and up dangerous heights, let the judgment forbid as it may.

Well, I'm in the process of packing stuff up to move house, plus xmas time, so haven't worked out properly in a while other than some minor stuff just to be doing something (rows, knee-raises, OHP etc.). That's the main reason I haven't posted - not progress to report whatsoever, and will be lowering weight when starting up again in Jan when we've moved into the new house and I have a dedicated room to workout in.
