DTuna Question
Ive got a Kramer Pacer Classic with the stock bridge in it, its a licensed Floyd Rose but looks a bit different I think. Wondering if id be able to put a DTuna on this or if I have to go out and buy an actual Floyd Rose.

don't quote me, but i think it should probably work ok. those kramer trems aren't low profile (and i had an older musicyo kramer that came with a kramer trem and a d-tuna on it). also your trem isn't recessed.
probably ok. maybe email kramer and/or evh if you want to be sure before buying something. EDIT: you're aware you have to have the trem tight to the guitar's top for the d-tuna to work, right?

its one of the 2010 kramer pacer classics, pretty sure its a floating trem. not really familiar with hardware at all so most of what you guys are saying is over my head :$

it may well be floating at the moment, but since it's not recessed you can screw it down tight to the guitar's front to make it dive-only.
You may not want to do that, though (and that's fair enough). But if you aren't willing to do that, the d-tuna won't work (so don't bother buying one, in other words).

I have no problem doing that, so I would just screw the two screws on either side of the bridge down so its even with the body?

yeah. and adjust the two spring tension/claw screws under the backplate so it's level with the body.

Later on i made it flush with the body which kept it in tune better, however the action was too low for me so i made the action a bit higher and it didn't go out of tune that much, usually a tiny adjustment on the g-string fine tuners at the most, if any. From my experience anyways. |

a d-tuna came stock on one of my wolfgangs. i took it off. however i made sure everything was right, but it wasn't worth it and wasn't the best regarding tuning, and you cannont do pullups if you have one (which is obvious especially on my guitar because the trem isn't routed).

Dtuna works if your tremolo is only set up to work in the dive.
If it is "floating" your other strings will go sharp when you "drop". Not only that, you have a spring inside it that could very well be vibrating sympathetically causing unwanted sounds as well as rattling of the device itself if the spring isn't super tight. Another problem with D'tuna is you lose a lot of fine tuning authority since the thickness of it removes range of motion of the fine tuner. You can get the exact same functionality by simply unscrewing the low string fine tuner.........and you will enjoy not having the e string fine tuner way up in your way at all times other than the amount you would unscrew it to get the E string to D.
