this.

There's no reason to be a dick to someone over a misconception.
(this is directed at some previous posts).

4x12 cabs have specific uses, as do combos and 2x12s.

Bigger cabs do not make your amp louder.

the Dual Rectifier is a great option. buying used from Guitar Center also gives you a good warranty.

Ah, to be young again.

Lol. Kids.

Don't worry, you'll lose the rockstar dream eventually. We all go through that phase.

3 years of playing is not that much. And you're still learning. I didn't even own a serious tube amp until about 8 or 9 years of playing.

The fact that you only want a stack to look cool proves you don't need a stack. You're only 16 years of age. Go combo.

I suggested an Engl Screamer 50 a few posts back. Look into it: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/ampl...uitar-combo-amp

I wasn't questioning your logic/sugestion, its just funny to hear someone of your age refer to a 16 yr old as a kid.

Yep, this is a strange kid.

TS, you don't need a fullstack, believe us. 2x12, 4x12 at most is all you need.

I have a 2x12 and it looks and sounds badass, I'll add another 2x12 and I will have the most I'll ever need on any stage, look https://www.dropbox.com/s/asqfxjjua8zlmkn/Amplo.jpg

I don't think Ian referred to TS's age, I think he referred to the way TS thinks. I can say that I wasn't anything like TS when I was 16 (I'm 18 now). Your "mental age" might be different from your real age. Also if you are new to guitar, the sound doesn't matter that much, you want a guitar that looks cool like Gibson Explorer. And an amp that looks cool like Marshall stack.

What the hell does that even mean, you base what amp someone needs in their age?

Guys, if bro man wants a stack and his budget allows for a decent one, I don't see where we get off telling him he doesn't need one. I don't need this computer in front of me, I don't need guitars and amps, hell, need is such a silly concept in the big scheme because when it comes down to it do we really "need" to live?

TS, the JVM is sweet, though I am not a fan personally. The Splawn is also dope.

the rectoverb is a sweet little amp, a lot of people (myself included) prefer them to the standard rectifier series. They are a little bit tighter than the regular Rec. Cool amps.

The recto verb is a single recto with reverb, nice little amps.
