cheap powerful amp

Ok, i'm looking for a cheap amp with some power. I don't care about the distortion or the effects. I will be running peddles. Under $200. Will be playing metal to rock.

First. Define your meaning of "power".

He doesn't care about onboard effects or a good distortion channel. Where does he say he doesn't care about the sound?

Original poster, I'd reccomend looking at your local classified ads

I was more commenting on the lack of information he gave. All he said was he wants "power" for $200, and he plays metal and rock, which is hardly enough information to work with.

Look around your local area for some used deals - probably get more for your money if you look hard enough!

Perhaps you can look for a used 200 watt zt lunchbox.

You are correct, I was kind of brief. Sorry about that. I am looking for something with a good clean channel. It could have reverb since most do. I've played for around 20 years and had tons of stuff but I have not played electric for a while and there is a lot of budget stuff that I don't know about.
I would need to be able to play with a pretty powerful drummer in q basement/garage type setting. I guess if it had a decent distortion and switch, that could work as well.
