Help with making a pedalboard

Hey guys. I currently have a pedaltrain mini which holds up to 5 pedals. I've finally decided that the mini is to small because I'm looking to incorporate a few new pedals which includes a hefty wah pedal. I am thinking of making a pedalboard with the same dimensions as the pedaltrain PT-2 instead of buying one. I have a few questions though:

1. What is the best wood to make it out of?
2. Does anyone know the dimensions of each specific 'rung' of the pt-2?
3. What are the dimensions of the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power II? (I am going to incorporate space for that just like the pt-2)

I hope you can help
Thanks
Carl

Here's a little diagram I just whipped up after measuring my PT-2:

I think the gap between the top bar and the first rung is where they recommend you put the Voodoo Lab

Are the rungs all the same size on every pedaltrain? Because i see youve said your measured your pt-2 but it says pt-3 on the pic. Just making sure

I would think so, since they're only different sizes to allow more or less pedals on it. I'd imagine they'd keep those dimensions constant.

Oh, yeah the pic is a PT-3, but the measurements are for a PT-2. Oops

One more question What are the dimensions of the top rung and the faceplate at the top (where the 2 holes are for putting the power cable through)?

Edit: Also, how far apart should the holes for the power leads be?

Cheers guys
