Fretless under 300
I'm looking for a new fretless bass to mess around on for under 300. I have checked Craigslist and used stuff at guitar center. Just can't find anything that fits the bill. I appreciate any suggestions.

i bought a bass 2 years ago for £60/$96 off ebay when i got it i had to sort out the innotation but when my guitar teacher (who mainly plays bass) played on it he said it was an amazing bass for the cheap price but these arent on ebay anymore so just click the link then go to electric basses and youll find a fretless for sure

You could probably find a Ibanez SR300F on the used market for around $300. There's the Squier VM Jazz Fretless which another good choice.

If you're ANY good at handiwork, you can de-fret it yourself.

I fourth the Squier VM, it's a beautiful bass and it feels and sounds a hell lot more expensive than it is.
