I started P90X today.

My god is it tough. But hopefully so worth it.

And to clarify, should I be aggressive with it or friendly? (calling you "Porky" or "Porky Patrick" or "Fatty McTiggleBitties")

OP updated.

Please don't

Update for myself, probably won't be out by the end of this month. Seeing Converge drained the funds a little bit, but I'm more than okay with that.

The reason I'm bumping this thread is probably the most important of these goals. Ali's decision to quit smoking.

Come on, buddy. There's no such thing as too weak in this case. You have to pull through. Start slow. One cigarette every other day. Shoot for that, then try to extend that gap. After getting through three days without it, go as long as you can. You might have to pick up chewing gum, or sunflower seeds, but neither of those will kill you as fast as smoking, I can guarantee it.

I passed the point where it would cause irreversible brain damage a few weeks ago, so you're good.

You're still typing coherently, though. I would hope by now you'd be at whoomit's level.

Thanks man. I'm trying to extend the gap between cigs. I've been awake a couple hours now and haven't smoked yet.

I've found that the biggest problem is my hands. Whenever I try to stop, I find that without smoking I just don't know what to do with my hands if I'm sitting with people. I was told to try carrying a cigarette without lighting it, and just pretend like I'm smoking that, but that didn't work at all. But yeah, I have to try and do this again.

Start twirling/chewing a pen. Or a pen cap. Or just carry a notepad with you and the pen and preoccupy yourself with doodling whenever your cravings get bad enough.

Turn it into something roughly productive.

I hear chewing gum helps as well.
