Excessive buzzing sound.

So recently the tubes in my HT5h needed changing.
Did it all properly (followed some instruction on the Blackstar forum)
It all worked fine.

Turned it on today and its giving me the same buzzing sound as it did before.
Done all the normal tests to eliminate the problem and its the same as last time.

Im beginning to think to get rid of the amp altogether and get a new one but I dont have the money to buy what i want.

I dont like the amp really but I want something to play on.

Help me please

EDIT: My noise gate clean up most of the buzzing but kills my tone/sound altogether too =/

When is the buzzing sound occurring? With gain? Clean channel? Playing? Not playing?

Its a lower buzzing on the clean channel, then a louder buzzing on the OD channel. Same volume when playing or not playing.

I did take a quick vid of it but ive no idea how to link it on here.

what tubes did you put in it?

Tungsol RI's have gone buzzin on me within 2 weeks sometimes, same deal with EHX 12ax7 & TAD 7025. From the likes of it sounds like a preamp problem, loose solder joint or bad power. That amp has hybrid pre & power sections, correct?

Pre amp was a JJ ECC83S and the power tube was a EXH 12BH7 (EXH was the same one as before. Hybrid something in there lol

Try removing & reseating the preamp tube back in there. If the buzzing goes away, then the tube socket has issues, needs cleaning or checked by a tech. Got any more spare preamp tubes around? That JJ might have crapped out early, it's common with current production stuff.

Have a tech check it up if the replacement tube does the same thing. 5yrs isn't that long but damn, you've been stuck with that thing for so long? lol

I'll check it all over in a bit then, gotta remember where i left my tool kit...

Yeah 5 long years... I kept buying guitars or cabs, or buying and selling other amps instead of getting rid of my HT5 lol

Yea i noticed the BKP's in the Jackson, that got me wondering why.. lol

These normal tests of elimination in the OP include stuff like trying a different wall socket, checking no large power devices are ON at home, unplugging all power hungry appliances from the wall, no ground loops forming between the amp & pedals and the guitar being grounded properly I hope.

Could be a bad preamp tube, if you can get an extra preamp tube I'd try putting that in there and see if the buzzing goes away. Other than that, I'd get a power filter like a monster power strip to make sure it's not dirty power causing the buzz, it's also a good idea to always have your amp on a clean power supply anyways.
