Having difficulty figuring this out by ear.
Okay, so I'm learning a song by Periphery called Letter Experiment and there's a rhythm section that I'm just having a lot of difficulty figuring it out by ear. I've been playing the instrumental version over and over again trying to listen to it and the rhythm just isn't clicking with me.
The part is at 1:06 immediately after that little power chord all the way to the power chord again at 1:09. Now, if you really want to help me... since I'm more of a visual person, you could type out the accented notes with however many open notes there are between them, rhythm isn't necessary, if I can count the open notes I'll be able to hear it out. (For example the part before it goes 2-0-0-2-0-0-0-2-0-2... etc) |

Weird way to write something out but M = muted, O = Open.
O M O M M M O M O M M M O M O M M M O - Powerchord All the open notes are played with upstrokes, and the whole thing is alternate picked. So if you play an open note with a downstroke you'll know you've gone wrong, same goes for the main riff. It's all on one note!
